Movie Description:

Same Sun (2026) is an experimental essay film that traces the history and cultural meaning of sunglasses through three facets: as eye protection, as fashion phenomenon (where coolness is built on detachment), and as technological innovation (linked to cyborgs, modern warfare, artificial intelligence).
Originally conceived as a two-screen installation, the film constructs a weird fiction through unexpected parallels, such as the ancient Inuit snow goggles and the 1960s fashion eyewear Lunettes Eskimo, designed to protect against “the blinding light levels of the future.” Same Sun explores the modernization of human sight and the evolution of surface, style and cool.
