In a world divided by fear Independent Filmmakers from around the world join together in New York City for one week every year to share ideas, hopes and dreams. As the filmmaker’s show their films, talk on panels and interact with fans, the world’s similarities become obvious. Help the New York City Independent Film Festival provide a showcase for the best independent cinema, from New York City and around the world.
Calling all cinephiles! The 16th New York City Independent Film Festival is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to assist during the Festival June 5 to 8, 2024. Volunteers are an invaluable part of the New York City Independent Film Festival, and none of it could be done without the dedication and support from so many amazing people!
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 20 hours during the festival, taking place June 5 to June 8, 2024, and are required to attend a volunteer orientation one month before the festival’s start. While some volunteer positions require special skills, many volunteers are needed to perform general tasks under direct supervision of festival staff. For their participation, volunteers will receive a t-shirt, access to volunteer screenings and public screenings (subject to availability), and certificates of participation.
Requirements

Work with the festival staff to screen the films, collect tickets, perform Q&As and help the filmmaker with orientation.

A friendly and positive attitude and good verbal skills.
