House to Herself
A young woman aimlessly wanders around her lakeside home while her father is out of town. A comment on how the pandemic has alienated us and shifted our social expectations towards technology.
Metamorphosis
Directed, shot, and performed solely by Jonathon Kimble, “Metamorphosis” was filmed during the COVID lockdown of Spring/Summer 2020 in Toledo, Ohio. A man is quarantined alone in his house while his wife is intubated in an ICU.
Pandemic
Reading the novel Essay on Blindness by José Saramago captivated me from the beginning due to the parallelism with John Wyndham’s novel The Day of the Triffids. Both works touch on the subject of a pandemic. On the one hand, Saramago writes about a pandemic that infects people with vision loss.
STAY-AT-HOME
April 2020, south of France, when stay-at-home is the new rule. During covid-19 lockdown, in an empty family house, I wander between my dreams and what remains of my childhood here.
Tidal
Tidal externalizes the internal life of a bedside nurse over the course of a year. The film examines the cyclical nature of workplace trauma and the relentlessness of the nursing profession.
